Skype Phone

First of all the bad news is the USR9630 only supports Windows 2000 and XP- based systems. :( no MAC OSX support at this time. Now, on to the good features;
this phone can act as a regular land line phone in a standard phone jack as well as plugging into your PC running Skype.

  • 4 handsets can be connected to the base station
  • indoor range of 150 feet
  • outdoor range of 900 feet
  • retails for around $120

Boo!! on the lack of MAC OSX support.

The Xantrex PowerSource Mobile 100 is for the constant traveller. It really is a useful utility device and I don’t know why it wasn’t thought of earlier. The Mobile 100 allows you to power your laptop or charge your phone or any other mobile device for up to 120 minutes. Unlike the common strategy of carrying extra laptop batteries etc.., the Xantrex PowerSource is basically a portable AC outlet - so you can plug whatever you want into it on the go. Expecting an important call on your cellphone ? Just plug in your charger like you would at home. Recharge your camera, camcorder or perhaps your iPod.

  • Xantrex PowerSource Mobile 100
  • charges for around 120 minutes
  • price tag of $129.99.

Boschipod

This iPod dock seems like overkill. From Bosch, the Power Box has it’s own roll cage as well as speakers to blast out whatever you want. This setup looks like it would be more appropriate for a portable generator or something of that ilk. Could be useful I guess if you want to recharge your iPod at work while at a construction site or something like that. There’s a market for every product..

6-Lexus-Lf-A-Concept-1

According to Autocar UK, A hybrid Super car is in the works from Lexus. The words hybrid and super car seem to be a contradiction in terms. Especially when you consider that this LF-A supercar will sport a 5.0 liter V8 with 435 horsepower. To me, it seems like a Jekyll and Hyde car with two distinctly different personalities. On the one hand, you have a mild mannered eco friendly hybrid, on the other a gas drinking high powered sports car with a top speed of 200 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time of under 4 seconds! Reportedly the Lexus LF - A hybrid will be unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Auto show.

Cannon is really coming on strong with their digital camera line. As a pleased owner of the PowerShot A620, I can personally attest to the quality of this Cannon digital camera line. The A710 ups the ante with faster ISO capability and a wider focal length range ( f/2.8 - 4.8). This is Canon’s first A Series digital camera with proprietary Image Stabilizer Technology for steady shooting at all zoom settings. This camera also sports a 2.5 inch LCD display.

Wow, just when we thought they couldn’t get any larger, in the ever present race to be the biggest and the baddest. LG throws down the gauntlet. This hugh 100-inch LCD wall size HDTV will dwarf many a bedroom or even living room. On exhibition at the IMD show in Korea, actual release hasn’t been announced. If this were to be a product, it will surely stretch the limits of affordability. Ok LG we give, for now you are the biggest and the baddest.
